Netflix, Inc. is an American media-streaming and video-rental company founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph. Besides media streaming, the company is also involved in the production of original programming, known as Netflix Originals. It is headquartered in Los Gatos, California. Netflix’s subscriber count as of 2022 was 223 million.
