In June 2022, it was recognized as the world's biggest company by market capitalization. It is an important member of the Big Five American information technology companies, alongside Alphabet, Amazon, Meta and Microsof Apple Inc has not always been a dominant economic force. Indeed, after an existential dip in product success in the 1990s, it surged back to prominence with the launch of its highly successful iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad products that have achieved critical acclaim and cultural visibility. Today, the company has a large following and enjoys a high level of brand loyalty. It is consistently ranked as one of the world's most valuable brands.
